In a tough economy, gaining new customers can be a daunting task. For a lot of businesses, it may be next to impossible. That’s why keeping the customers you have—and keeping them satisfied—is now more important than ever.

A recent report from Forrester details the importance of customer service in a down economy. In the report, senior analyst Natalie Petouhoff accurately identifies four ways customer service impacts revenue:

1. A good customer experience boosts repurchase probability and long-term loyalty
2. Poor service leads a customer to defect
3. A lackluster interaction may lead to lost opportunities
4. Bad experiences also result in hidden costs — in particular, the additional money required to market and sell to new consumers

I don’t mean to ramble on about the merits of good customer service. It’s common sense, really—why shop at the store where the clerks are jerks when there’s one across the street with nice, helpful folks and similar prices?

But improving your customer service does you no good if it requires a massive, long-term investment. Keeping customers happy is one thing—busting your budget wide open to do it is another.

Apprivo has a number of solutions that can help you stimulate customer loyalty and boost agent effectiveness—all within Salesforce. We’ll help you create a customer service cloud that doesn’t just react to customer problems, but also lets you better listen to your customers and remain proactive.

And here’s a proof point, because I know you love them—we helped Freedom Financial Network increase customer service throughput by 50% and double the overall productivity of call center agents. Imagine what we could do for your business.

I’d like to offer you the opportunity to watch a recorded webinar from June 2009 featuring myself and representatives from salesforce.com and Freedom Financial Network. Rather than focusing on theory, this webinar offers real-world tips for improving customer service.

To the point…

- In a down economy, keeping current customers is Priority #1
- Customer service has a direct impact on revenue
- Apprivo can help stimulate customer loyalty and boost agent effectiveness
- We’re offering a free webinar that offers you real-world tips on improving customer service
